Avant d’entamer le mois de Février , synonyme de grandes cérémonies pour le monde du cinéma avec les César , les BAFTA , les Oscars , le tout Hollywood se réunissait pour une autre soirée de remises de prix : La 23ème édition des Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Depuis 1995 , la Screen Actors Guild , qui est le syndicat des acteurs de cinéma et de télévision aux États-Unis organise cette cérémonie permettant de récompenser les acteurs du petit et du grand écran.

Au niveau du cinéma , la surprise vient de Fences qui voit ses deux acteurs principaux , Denzel Washington (également réalisateur du film) et Viola Davis récompensés.

En ce qui concerne la télévision , on assiste à une domination des séries proposées par la plateforme Netflix qui écrase la concurrence avec Strangers Things , Orange Is The New Black et The Crown.
